Following the immense success of Icons of Whisky 2008, Whisky Magazine launched Whisky Live the World`s Premier Whisky Sampling show, In India along with the 2nd edition of the World Whisky Bar Awards 09 on January 31st at the newly opened Leela Kempinski Gurgaon. An event that is already being held in over 20 countries, this event re-affirmed India`s position on the world whisky map and upgraded the whisky offering in India, besides ensuring Responsible Drinking. Damian Riley- Smith, Publisher, Whisky Magazine and a Global Whisky Expert was in India especially for the World Whisky Bar Awards.

To reinstate their position as the finest destination for Whisky Worshippers, entries have been received from over 60 outlets in India, across Bars, Restaurants and Hotels for Accreditation leading to nominations for the World Whisky Bar Awards. Whisky Live the worlds’ most premier whisky tasting and sampling event of the year, taking place from London to Tokyo, Cape Town to Auckland will also be held on the 31st of January for the first time in India.
